Zero Commit, for AI-assisted developmentWaitlist opening soon · Free to test

The AI wrote the fix. Zero Commit lands it.

Paste any LLM’s answer and watch changes stage across your project in seconds. Checked, on a branch, ready for your review.

2. What gets staged
Now try to break it:

The response is written in the Zero Commit protocol. This preview applies it to a four-file sample project and shows the resulting diff. The full tool applies the same kind of changes to your real repository or local folder.

01The problem

Writing the change takes seconds. Applying it takes the afternoon.

You ask the model for a fix. It answers with edits across twelve files. Then the real work starts: open a file, Ctrl+F for the block, replace it, scroll, repeat. One missed paste and the build breaks.

Applying it by hand
Find the file. Find the block. Replace it. Check that you didn’t skip a file. Start over on the next one.
Applying it with Zero Commit
Paste the response. Click Detect and Stage. Review what was staged.

AI got fast at writing code. Nothing got fast at landing it.

02The protocol

One format, any model.

Zero Commit ships a protocol. Paste it into your chat once, and the model answers in a format your project can apply: file edits and console commands, then a footer listing every file it touched. Zero Commit reads that format, so no plugin, API key, or special integration is involved.

Excerpt from the Zero Commit protocol, trimmed
Zerocommit.dev | File ops protocol (direct text only)

BEFORE the footer output ONLY: console command blocks
and file edits. Any other text before the footer
corrupts files.

Existing file: search/replace, unless it costs more.
New file: full file.
Delete :rm Move :mv Rename :rn Undo :undo

The first footer line is exactly: ### Changed files:
Then one line per file, then: Total files updated: N

The footer is what Zero Commit checks your files against. Try breaking it in the preview above.

03How it works

Three steps, any model.

  1. Paste the protocol into your LLM

Once per chat. It teaches the model to answer in a format your project can apply.

  2. Ask for the change

Work the way you already do. Ask for a feature, a fix, a refactor.

  3. Paste the answer and click Detect and Stage

Your changes appear in your repository or local folder, ready to review.

04The whole path

From prompt to pull request.

Going in
Repository ingestion
Convert your repository into one readable text file with its structure and source.
Deep Map
Too big for a prompt? Give the model a map instead of the whole repo, and send only the files it asks for.
Applying
Detect and Stage
One paste, one click. Edits, new files, moves, renames, and deletes, staged together.
Mismatch check
The footer’s file list and count are compared with what was actually found.
Console commands
:rm :mv :rn :undo :unrm
Refining
Turns
The first answer wasn’t right? Add Turn 2 and Turn 3 and refine it, without littering your history with half-fixes.
Patch Editor
For connected local Git repositories: browse files, correct by hand, review changes.
Shipping
Review & Ship
Changes land on their own branch, with a pull request ready for human review.

07Origin

We used it for two years before we showed anyone.

Zero Commit began as a private tool for our own projects. We built real products with it every day, and fixed whatever annoyed us, long before anyone else saw it.

Built with Zero Commit The list of projects and a screen recording of the full tool will be published here at launch.
